[Potential Job] GameSwitch Project

Post by Jade »

Hey,

I have someone who contacted me 5 minutes ago about working on a game project that they want done by August. Due to the high volume of work I have coming in right now I don't think I can complete the project on my own. They have a large budget, so you would be paid for any work you did (as long as the contract went through and I was paid first, etc, etc).

So if you're interested please let me know. If you can contact me tonight that would be better as he wants an answer tonight.
I'm including the game specs below.

Game Specs

Intergration.

We are building a site very similar to IGN.com or Gamespot.com. We need this design http://img83.imageshack.us/my.php?image ... h105nz.jpg with all its features and subpages intergrated with vgportal (vgprojects.com). This will include game pages, review pages and article lists will all need to be coded and intergrated with vgportal the way we want it. As well as our VBulletin Forums be intergrated with the projects member database. It will be direct PSD to intergration coding so original XHTML/CSS coding will need to be done

Tourney Script

An external file will be sent explaining this.

Flash Animation

Our featured articles section will need to be in flash animation or javascript. And have all its images edited through the ACP so it updated the flash featured articles when I change it. Below is the setup I want for the featured articles external (not a part of vgportal) ACP. This will be similar to 360monster.com

Main Page Top 5 stories ( the story that will appear on the mainpage of the site)

Headline Name: Name that will appear over the image
Headline Content: Below the name and will describe whats going on
Image (here I upload the image of the picture I want to add to the featured articles, needs to be resized to fit the aritcles space:

Then below these show the rest of the editable platforms top 5 stories.

Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, DS, and Wii will all need to have a top 5 stories editable through this acp.

We will also need flash animation in the header so that when a person scrolls over a platform cd, the cd rolls in and out.

Tournaments

League Ladder Script

The tourney script will be an addon to the game page for each game.

Frontend View

The game page. On the game page the leagues button will look like this.

Reviews l Previews l Screenshots l Etc

Tournament BANNER

Through the ACP when I add tournaments to a gamepage, this banner will be placed which will redirect viewers to the tournament page.

This will only be viewable by signed up members.

The tournament list page will be a list add on to the main game page. So the main game bar and game page features will be still on it with the tournament list in the middle.

Below is what the tournament list should look like.

ACTIVE Tournies PENDING Torunies
Name Players per Team l Entry Fee l Prize Name l Players Per Team l Entry Fee l Prize l Postions Available l Sign Up

Have the tournies listed downwards.

Now when clicked on a PENDING Tourney the will be brought to the Toruney page. This will be brought to a rules page.

On top their will be a navigation for the Tourney:

Signed Up Players l Rules l Sign Up

The Sign Up page for Single Player Matches will be like so:

GamerSwitch Username:

Name which you play on for this game (XBL Gamertag):

Then they will be directed to a paypal and send the money through paypal for the tournament. Once they do this, they will be signed up and put onto the Signed Up Players list with their GS name and Game Username.

The Sign up for a Team Match (2) or more will show this.

GamerSwitch Username:
Name which players play on (XBL Gamertag, seperate by Commas):

Then directed to paypal account.

Once the tourney goes full it will be transfered to Active Tournies.

The ACTIVE Tourney page will show a bracket which will randomly place players in

8 30 May 15
Mike
Steve

9:30 May 15 May 18
James James Bill
Bill

10:30 May 16
Dick May 18 10-30
John Dick
Carl
11:30 May 17
Adam
Carl

And having them boxed to look more like brackets.

All sign ups and notices have to be redirected to me.

Once a tourney is over, it will remain as a finished tourney on the main tourney page.

ACP

The league ACP addon to VGportal should look like this.

Tournaments
Add Tournament
Current Tournaments

After clicking Add Tournament:

Name
Game Name: (The game page which the tourney will appear on)
Players Per Team:
Total Players:
Players Per Match (4,8,16,32, or 64 are the only brackets that need to be made):
How many advance each match:
Rules:
Fee:
Prize:

Once the tourney is added it should be direct to the Current Tournaments in the ACP.

Here I can edit it the rules and post tourney news and edit the brackets.

Bracket editing should work like this. It should show a full bracket which can be updated and transferred over to the frontend every time I update it.

For example:

8 30 May 15
Mike
Steve

9:30 May 15 May 18
James James Bill
Bill

10:30 May 16
Dick May 18 10-30
John Dick
Carl
11:30 May 17
Adam
Carl

This in the ACP should be look like this.

Time:
Mike
Steve

Time: Time:
James
Bill
Time:
Time:
Dick Time:
John

Time:
Adam
Carl

I can edit the times of each match on the bracket here. When I click on the player once they advance to the following round. When I double click they go back (incase I made a mistake).
