Title: Product Design Director
The Product Design Director will provide vision and guide the overall look and feel for all product forms, ensuring proper alignment with overall brand and specific marketing objectives.
Duties include:
· Developing design concepts, renderings, and prototypes
· Managing projects through design team of internal and freelance artists to ensure on-time delivery of quality design work
· Identifying new vendors and matching company needs with appropriate skills
· Attending tradeshows and events to stay abreast of current market trends
· Travel to Asia when necessary to interface with suppliers and agents
The Right Candidate will posses:
· At least 10 years of direct experience in 3D DESIGN, including a minimum of 5 years in the toy, gift, or collectibles industry
· Bachelor's degree in design or fine arts, relevant Master's degree a plus
· Working knowledge of design software such as Illustrator, Quark, Photoshop, and Indesign
· Demonstrated ability to manage people in a creative environment and ensure projects are completed on-time
· Knowledge of product development process
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Title: Senior Package Designer
The Senior Package Designer will design innovative, compelling packages, displays, and collateral to enhance our client's product lines and meet their marketing objectives.
Duties include:
· Creating package and display die lines and graphics that enhance product within budget requirements
· Communicating with domestics and overseas vendors to ensure smooth transfer of files
· Keeping abreast of market trends
· Assisting with leading and educating junior package design staff
The Right Candidate will posses:
· At least 10 years experience, including a minimum of 5 years in the toy, gift, or collectibles industry
· Bachelor's degree and a portfolio of work to illustrate skills and competency
· Expert-level user of design software, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Quark
· Ability to manage workload to meet deadlines
Title: Product Development Director
The Product Development Director will lead and manage our client's Design, Creative Services, and Sourcing teams to develop new and exciting products for our loyal client base.
Duties include:
· Understand and fulfill company marketing strategy through product development
· Accountable for department performance and results
· Oversee domestic and worldwide sourcing
· Manage design, development, and creative services for diverse product forms – including plush, resin, plastic, porcelain
· Responsible for vendor management
· Lead and coach design and creative services personnel
· Negotiate product costs
· Ensure on-time development, in keeping with company values and mission
The Right Candidate will posses:
· Executive leadership experience with 8+ years proven success in people management in the field of product development, preferably in the toy or collectibles industry
· Ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the market and the brand
· Strong business acumen, proactive decision making skills, high-energy level, results driven
· Bachelors Degree
Title: Creative Services Director
The creative services director will manage team of designers, artists, and freelancers to ensure the creation of fresh, exciting graphic materials for several product lines to expand and strengthen brand awareness.
Duties include:
· Design, layout, and production of catalogs, brochures, packaging, and collateral with an eye toward achieving a unified delivery of the company's mission, goals, and marketing messages across a variety of communication platforms
· Researching competition and product marketplace
· Effectively manage workflow through appropriate delegation and supervising projects assigned to freelancers and design firms
· Coordinating, scheduling, and supervision of photo shoots
· Keeping current on industry and design trends
· Develop department's annual budget
The Right Candidate will posses:
· Bachelors Degree
· 10 years of progressively responsible and successful art department management experience
· Strong creative and communication skills
· Ability to organize and manage multiple projects with multiple people internally and externally under tight deadlines
· Expert knowledge and ability in graphic, print, and web technology – both hardware and software
