I am a novice and I've just completed my first website. If you'd like to take a peek, it's http://www.americaseagle.com. The site is ready to be launched but for a mailing system that I'm still looking for.
I'm searching for a script that will give me several features and capabilities. I first want to have the ability to harvest e-mail addresses from site visitors if they choose to leave it. I'd like to be able to get more data than just the address, perhaps name, interests, and other things. I'd like that data in some sort of database in order to sort it, and then use the results to initiate targeted or mass mailings of a newsletter or advertising info. I need an efficient way of unsubscribing those that no longer want to receive mailings. I need a contact us screen which will generate an autoresponse and an e-mail to me, so that I can reply. And ideally, I'd also like to have a "refer a friend to this site" screen where people can enter the e-mail addresses of friends. I'd also like to be able to read and respond to my customer support mail from anywhere through my Yahoo account which supports POP3 protocol.
I write in Microsoft Access, so I could easily handle the database requirements myself if the data could be exported to Access, sorted there, and then reimported back into the mailing system with the search results used for a targeted mailing.
Does anyone know of anything readily available that is capable of all of these requirements, or is anyone capable of building such a system? Time is of the essence here. I need to get this site launched as soon as possible, and the mailing system is the last piece of the puzzle. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

re: e-mail script
I doesn't appear that you need a full featured e-mail system. A few scripts which provide access to your database and generation of the desired e-mail messages would suffice. These e-mail messages would need to be routed through an available SMTP server for delivery to either your Yahoo account or your users address.
