[Job] Web Site Programmer Wanted

Post by bananadan »

We are looking for someone who specializes in programming for the Web to handle some overflow of projects that we now have. He/she must be highly proficient in PHP, mySQL, and have lots of experience working on a Red Hat Linux server. In other words, we are looking for a LAMP programmer.

We have a current project that is about to start with other projects available upon successful completion of one project. This project entails the following:

- We need a database-driven site created. You will do the programming in PHP and create a mySQL database to interact with the site and your coding.
- We will provide the layout, look and feel for the design of the site. You will simply need to integrate this into your programming.
- The database will have approximately 500 records and will include at least the following fields: style number, main category, sub-category, sub-sub category, description, price, and order of appearance.
- The site will be for consumers (B2C) but will also have a password protected entrance for B2B.
- We will need a form to collect information from B2B customers. This form will ask the customer to create a password. We must approve the customer’s application and must have an easy to use admin section where we can approve the customer and grant access to the site with a username and password.
- The B2B section will have shopping-cart functionality.
- There must be a password protected admin section that will allow us to do all of the following: add, edit and delete items in the database either one at a time or by editing and uploading an Excel spreadsheet (or a converted text, tab delimited file).
- We will need to see at least 3 similar types of sites that you have done the programming in. Please provide no less than 3 URLs where we can see your work.
- We must be able to see at least one working admin section. We realize that most customers do not want you to take strangers into their admin sections. Therefore, you need to show a working demo of your admin section, take us temporarily into a live admin section, or show us screenshots of your admin section.

If you have been creating database-driven sites for the last 5+ years, this project will be a piece of cake for you.
