One of the companies I work for uses a piece of software called Discovery Dealer Management (or something).
From what I know, it is a very common piece of software for Harley and other motorcycle dealerships. It's a piece of garbage. It's written in Java, eats resources like a fat man on thanksgiving, and has the worst server->client implementation I have ever seen.
I told my boss to give me a budget so we can build competing software. He told me to build a team and give him an estimate.
I have never developed a desktop application that was more than a megabyte compiled so I can not do this on my own.
I would like to use as much C# as possible although I am completely open to any suggestions.

Thanks for your consideration.
