We would like to immediately hire a programmer with e-commerce, database (mySQL) and PHP expertise. If you have been creating custom sites that are e-commerce enabled, interacting with a database, have easy to use administrative sections to control the product database and functionality of the site, and you are a LAMP programmer, this is perfect for you.
Please note: We will not consider anyone who uses and installs programs like OSCommerce, X-Cart or any of the other popular "canned" programs.
These are the features and functions that you must create:
1. You will be creating one admin section that will control two separate sites as well as items that we sell in eBay. This will allow us to add, edit and delete products in one administrative section which will update one product database. When an item is sold via either of the two sites or via eBay, the database must be automatically updated to show that the item has been sold and is no longer available in any of the three sites. We have learned that eBay has an API that can allow eBay sellers to use a database of products. If this is too complex to do with regards to eBay, or if this entails too much additional cost, we may be able to live without this functionality in our eBay store.
2. We must be able to add, edit and delete products individually via the admin section and also be able to add, edit and delete products in an Excel spreadsheet and upload this via our admin section.
3. The product database must allow us to use 3 separate and different prices for all 3 sites.
4. We need the ability to offer "discounted" prices and set a "time-period" for the pricing to be valid.
5. All orders need to be saved, accessible, and downloadable via the administrative control panel.
6. We need to use our 2 AUTHORIZE.NET accounts to process credit card payments. You will need familiarity with AUTHORIZE.NET.
7. You will need to add one flat tax rate for all sales shipped to one state in one of the sites.
8. We will need to see at least 3 examples of database-driven shopping-cart types of sites that you have created. We must also see at least one example of an administrative section. We understand that this may represent a "security" issue for your client(s). Therefore, we need to at least see screenshots so that we can see how your admin sections look and function.
9. Customers who will place orders in both sites need to be able to "register" and store their personal information in a database. This database must be downloadable and editable via the admin section.
10. When a person adds at least one item to their shopping-cart in one of our sites, and does not complete the transaction, when he/she is about to leave the site by typing in a new URL, clicking a "favorites" link, or closing their browser window, they need to receive a message. This message can say something to the effect of "Before leaving our Web site, would you like to receive a 5% discount that can be used towards your next purchase? Click "yes" and fill out our questionnaire to receive your discount." If the person clicks the "Yes" button, he/she will go to a separate page that will have specific questions on it that the client will provide. The answers to the questions will be saved in a downloadable Excel file so that we can analyze why people are not completing their transactions and what we can do in the site to make it better. Upon successfully submitting the questionnaire, the person will be given a unique code that they can use one time to receive a discount in the site. We can also need a "death date" attached to the code so that the person only has "X" amount of days to use the code and receive the discount. We found a publicly available JavaScript that can do the first part of this task: http://willmaster.com/possibilities/demo/ExitKickIn/
11. We need downloadable PDFs available with each product. We need an admin function to upload these PDFs and to associate each PDF with each product in the database.
12. Your program/script will take the information for each item from the database and create unique page titles, Meta descriptions and Meta keywords. We can have separate columns with "page titles" and "keywords/phrases". The key is that we want Google and other search engines to index all items from our database as separate and individual pages.
13. All pages have already been designed using XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. You will NOT have to design any pages. We are strictly looking for a programmer/coder to implement the code/scripts to perform the functions above.
14. We need a flat project price and a guaranteed date by which the project will be completed. We also need some flexability in terms of adding additional functionality. We realize that you will need some additional details, therefore, please quote an "early" and "latest" completion date.
Project will be awarded and started within 24-72 hours. Therefore, do not delay in responding to this if you have the qualifications to take on this project.
