Posted: Mon Jun 04, 2007 6:34 am
Hello,
WANTED: Experienced coder interested in new up and coming community website. Could be compared to Youtube, Myspace although totally unique.
I am currently to MD of an existing design agency. However i have a couple of other ventures on the side including a new website which has been half completed. The existing code is written to a very high standard but my current coders cannot complete it due to other commitments to project within my design business.
I require a talented, honest and forward thinking coder to help me finish this site. If you are the right person and successful it could potentially set you up for the future.
Here is a brief that one of my coders has written:
-------------------------------------
Wanted: Web 2.0 - PHP Programmer
We need an up coming dynamic developer for our already excellent team.
Committed to learn new technologies and able to take a project and focus on the goal target with their own ‘initiative’ and use their innovation skills. Candidates must be able to fully test their web applications to breaking point and be able to justify the security and error handling in their code to the manager.
“Must have basic knowledge”
Web 2.0 Criteria, although not essential knowledge of the theory is a must.
Template Driven Sites (Smarty and other template engines).
Modular System Design & Programming Skills (Object Orientated).
Ability to pick up other coded framework API’s like Drupal,
SharePoint & knowledge of other CMS template driven sites.
Web Servers and Databases (Apache, IIS, MySQL & MsSQL, not to admin/configure and use but just the knowledge of HTTP and database protocol & their access schemas).
Other database, programming & any other skills should be mentioned with some example code or past work to prove this. We will be asking for some sample code to measure quality of work as this is a very important factor. This will greatly improve chances of freelance work been recommended to candidates. Candidates must have a UK registered address and have lived in the UK for the past 2 years and current.
----------------------------------
I cannot disclose more than this at present for obvious reasons but I look forward to hearing from you and speaking further.
Please do not reply if you are a company or team of individuals.
