[job] Senior PHP/MySQL/AJAX Developer (music 2.0) SF, CA

A recently funded music start-up is seeking an experienced PHP/MySQL/AJAX Developer to participate in the system design and application development of music-related web applications. If you are passionate about music, have a large digital music collection and are finding your collection more and more difficult to manage, then here is an opportunity to join a cool company at an early stage. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Participate in the planning, design, and development of large-scale web solutions based on the PHP/MySQL/AJAX Platform.
* XML schema definition for specialized music application
* Hands-on Website and Application development utilizing PHP, MySQL, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript.
* Interact with various internal departments to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
* Ensure that development quality, cost, and time objectives are met.
* Help to develop and set standard coding practices.
* Fully documents all programs written or revised.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE (Required)
* Expert level skills in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, DHTML with at least 2-3 years of demonstrable experience.
* Ability to quickly learn 3rd Party REST/SOAP APIs; familiarity with popular ones such as Amazon, Yahoo!, ebay, Facebook
* Expert level skills in building data driven Web applications using the PHP/MySQL framework with at least one successful public deployment.
* Prior experience building high traffic data driven web frontends and backends will be a plus.
* Experience in a team development environment, and knowledge of software engineering best-practices (source control standards, documentation standards, unit testing, etc.)
* Ability to self-motivate and effectively communicate in a collaborative environment.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Passion, diligence, integrity, and exceptional aptitude.
* Bachelors degree in related field.
* Must be willing to commute daily to San Francisco Office (Potrero Hill/Dog Patch)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE (Preferred)
* Proficiency in integrating and interfacing client (Visual Studio) applications with web applications and services
* Proficiency with Linux System Administration, MySQL Administration, Shell Scripting.
* Thorough understanding of security requirements for application development and server configuration.

Hours: Full-Time
