Agreed, but I havn't seen any that do, most flash applications I have seen are a canvas for designers with any textual information limited to small boxes with poor scrolling, they are also a means for promotion, in that, they are usually on a coporate site to "link in" with an ad campaign (the latter being an acceptable use of flash).jay birch wrote:cactus, surely having a website in flash that can be audio rich and include an audio navigation system is a great thing for blind people.
If the flash application was able to handle audio input, then your idea of an accessible flash application would hold true for those with limited or no sight, but you would have to have pretty decent ASR in your app to handle the input.
Hey, I'm not against flash, don't shoot me, I'm just putting the point accross that developers/designers need to know their users and provide them with the best options (flash and markup) for reading content.
