Why dont Recruiters ever post more details! Salary! Location!?!?
That way straight away we can see if it is suitable or not before wasting both our time!

Please reference the
recommended guidelines for posting programming positions.
Quite honestly, a vast majority of top notch programmers won't even respond to job offers that don't list a salary.

Tonni, thank you for your email.
tonni wrote:It is our company policy not to disclose salary information. Also, I do not believe that discrediting candidates based on salary alone is a wise decision. If the skillset the client is looking for is there then I ask my candidates what they are looking to make (current salary, target salary etc.). If it is feasible then we will negotiate the best possible salary.
However, I disagree. The only reason not to disclose the salary information is to get a greater range of candidates on your books! Your client has the hope to get the candidate at a lower salary, especially as some good developers under estimate their value; having said that there are some developers who over estimate their value. Salary offer and expectation indicates a good idea of experience level. At least you should specific a range otherwise this has a negative effect.

This is very true!
Good luck with your hunt.

Hi,
I thought about your suggestions and I have edited my post to include a range however, it does depend on experience. Again, we will negiotate the best possible salary for candidates that impress the client.
Thank you,
Take care.

I also should note...I work on a 100% commission therefore my fee from the client is based upon what the candidate's salary is closed at. So if anyone wants the candidate to get the best rate, its me!

Well take our suggestions you will do better. I am not trying to tell you how to do your job or that we know it better. But I do know that from a candidates point of view, our view, its all wrong
All the best.
