MySql Administrator MySQL Query Browser Bug/Error

Post by lettie_dude »

Hi

Not sure if anyone on here will know the answer to this. But I have scoured the internet to no avail with this intermittent problem.

I use MySql Administrator and MySQL Query Browser. I have done for several years with no problems. Just recently however I am having problems with the Query Browser and this will not happen all the time.

Problem is:

Right click a table and select edit table data. The query Broswer comes up populated with table data. select edit and edit the various fields.

The Apply Changes button seems then to be disabled and you are unable to click it. If you then abort the changes it throws up a GLib Error saying it failed to allocate a random number of bytes. Windows then Pops up a box saying the browser has after clicking ok I may get another error pop-up from Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library saying The application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

Then a micorsoft windows error pop-up saying the query browser has stopped working, it looks for a solution and can't find one and says it wants to close the program.

This is starting to become very tedious as I was using it this morning with no problems, then it suddenly stops working.

It seems like a memory allocation problem to me but the amouth of bytes in each query is next to nothing i.e. 461bytes! So I'm pretty sure this is some other hidden problem.

Any help appreciated.

cheers
