MySQL Certification exam...any opinions

Post by mgm_03 »

I recently discovered there is a study guide for taking teh MySQL certification exam. I read somewhere the test is 1.5hrs and 70 multiple choice questions.

Right now, I do far more reading than coding. It occurred to me that preparing for the exam would be a good way to be sure I am really learning the right stuff. Also being tested would prove to myself what was absorbed. A less important benefit to me is having the credential (assuming a passing grade) for use when skills come into question with a client.

Has anyone taken the exam? Did you find it worthwhile ?

I have thought about it and felt it would be a good thing just to show clients or to add to your CV - its always worth having as many qualifications as possible.
