Details:
Apache/1.3.33 (Win32) PHP/5.0.2
Windows XP Pro Service Pack 1
Oracle 9i (located remotely on Sun Solaris)
Question:
I believe I have the Oracle Client installed, but I have don't have the services listed in my Services console:
1. OracleServiceORCL
2. OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener
Summary:
For a development enviornemnt, I have Apache/1.3.33 and PHP/5.0.2 set-up on my local Windows XP workstation.
From the instructions from the OTN article entitled: Installing Oracle, PHP, and Apache on Windows 2000/XP by Robert Clevenger, it notes that if the database will be remote; which it is in this case, then only the Oracle Client needs to be installed on this machine.
1. How do I know if I have the Oracle Client set-up correctly.
2. Why don't I have the services OracleServiceORCL and OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener installed?
3. How do I install the services OracleServiceORCL and OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener?
Everything up to that point works great, this is the last hurdle, therefore any help or direction is greatly appreciated.
