generating index / odp dmoz like scripts

I am very interested in doing something relatively simple with php/mysql and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. Really all i want to do is generate an index from mysql a la odp- I know that there are some scripts out there like phpodp and such but i would like to have an index that keeps track of the hit for the links and generates the index based on that or some bayesian mean (votes/unique ip etc)- I have some minor experience in setting up the basics and i am not trolling here/
have a experimental database driven site up. I will be operational with same apps and more on a linux platform in the near future.
this is gen index/caveat:: sites are strictly beta
http://www.datamax.servehttp.com/ gpl with most source
and a couple of scripts
http://www.datamax.servehttp.com/PHP-Nu ... /index.php
http://www.datamax.servehttp.com/phpBB2/index.php
so...I am looking for good parsers for rdf dumps but just want to keep it simple here for now---what kind of tables/field structure should i have for a simple index generator. To clarify I would like to emulate the odp but also include some links from page rank and alexa even though the data seems to overlap. hopefully this is not too much to ask for- send me links etc if you can shusted@maine.rr.com this type of approach would give people more info and eliminate editor bias in trad odp approach. thanks shep
