phpBB.com has a visual activation sql mod that does this without worrying about the copy write infringement and such.
[2.0.10] Installation Guide for Visual Confirmation
I installed a test forum as an example of this mod (works like a charm), feel free to register and try out the mod. I may put this on my own personal web standards forum when I open it officially.

The mods and I have already talked about it at length, and we will not install such a modification.no_memories wrote:phpBB.com has a visual activation sql mod that does this without worrying about the copy write infringement and such.

There are certain draw backs to every modification for sure. This particular mod would be a tad difficult for people who are visually impaired in some way. Although, not to sound insensitive, but I find it hard to think about someone who is legally blind being a programmer? I suppose anything is possible these days with all the modern technology and all. However, using the html title attribute strategically would help in these matters.
Edited: thinking about what I typed, using the "title" attribute would defeat the whole reason for using this security measure to begin with, lol
But since this particular mod wasn't mentioned before on this thread, thought I might as well bring it up, so no harm done. I'm sure your folks here have thought out any mods that are committed to this site thoroughly.
