Community Awards II - Nominations!

Post by patrikG »

Alright! We have the categories for the community awards.
Image
1. Most Helpful Award
2. Best 'Code Snippet' of the Month Award
3. Best at taking a thread off topic Award
4. Most Unique Theorizer Award
5. The Fastest Advancing Newcomer Award
6. The Most Peculiar Award
7. IATFM Award (I Am The ... Manual)
8. Most Friendly Award
9. Most Funny Award
10.Most Inspirational Award

What you need to do is post on this thread with the number of the award and your nomination. If the person you have nominated is already listed for the award, don't nominate them again.
What you post could look like:
1. Rasmus Lersdorf
2. Albert Einstein
3. Martin Fowler
4. Gang of Four
etc.
Obviously you should use a valid username of a user of this forum instead of the ones listed above.

Deadline is 20 June, polls will be created after that with your nominations and your award categories!

1. feyd
2. d11wtq for his "print_r() type thing for JavaScript". I've needed that more often than I can remember

7. timvw
8. patrickG
9. d11wtq (how many people post here after they've been drinking? Ha ha)
10. feyd

It's quite hard when I remember icons rather than usernames.

Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

5) Impossible to judge how long they've been learning
6) No idea what this means
7) Feyd, simply phenomenal amount of knowledgfe
8) Any of the regulars (pimp, onion, burrito, sami, pickle etc etc)

Maybe we should have added a "Generally Great Work Everyone Award", but as they are, each of the awards categories only needs one nomination each :)

I must say that find it really difficult to limit choices down to one person when so many people seem to contribute. The knowledge of so many people on this board, combined with their willingness to share is one of the great joys of accessing this board... It makes my eyes water with happiness...

As no one has yet nominated timvw for the Most Friendly, then I'll have to, friendly in the way that I haven't heard a pip outside the informational talk.

8. timvw

And for 11, "First to be Strangled" award I'm putting patrikG :P
