Remote Avatars Disabled

Post by John Cartwright »

The moderation team have come to a decision to disable remote linking to avatars. This was mainly decided because far too often users to not obide to our guidelines and we find ourselves having to constantly disable/reset the users avatar. I know some of you may be disapointed, considering dynamic sig's are no longer possible, but we this just makes our lives so much easier on avoiding a situation we should never have to be in in the first place.

On the upside, you guys are going to be saving a little bandwidth ;)

I cannot express how much I appreciate your choice.

It saves me the hassle of having to adblock the obnoxious choices so many people make.

These forums are NOT about showing off graphics. They are about learning.

If the graphics were getting in the way (and I agree they were), we lose the graphics. I'm all for it.

Thank you very much.

Now, if we could just limit sigs to something a little more reasonable in length.. 10-lines? Seriously.. content in the post, not the sig!
