I think we should go without the signature: word above the divider for signatures.

I see, sorry feyd. I thought that we could just request suggestions. I guess I would have to post that in the "Suggestions" forum. I wont though because I do not want to start a new thread for somthing so stupid.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your input today. The updated files have been applied now and the following changes should be apparent:

When viewing your profile:
The table should now stretch to the full width. Some people with crazy wide resolutions (Cool) were noticing it stopped part way through the page.

When posting:
PHP tags now exist.

When viewing a topic:
The section that shows the user poster information now wraps after 150 px rather than never wrapping.

Search results:
When viewing the results as topics, the columns are now left-justified and have the same mouseover behaviour as when viewing the forums and topics.

Main page:
There is now a blank line after the "Who's logged in box".
There is a thin (1px) white line separating the forums.
The order of the "View posts since last logged in/View your posts/View unanswered posts" is now the same as the subSilver theme.

Who's online:
Admins now show up in the familiar green, mods in the familiar orange.

Everywhere in the header:
The 'Portal' and 'Register' links have changed position because...
The 'Register' link now disappears when you log in.

Signatures:
Now appear in the same format as the (modified) subSilver theme.

Everywhere:
More text should be black when viewing in IE

Keep 'em coming!

Cool. Great job Pickle. I love your theme. I will never switch back to subsilver.

Good job.!

Did these changes go in effect yet?

~Burrito already uploaded the files - everything should be in place.

And thanks for your enthusiasm ~ nickman013 ;)

I'm having a bit of a hard time reading some of the text.

could be that IE isn't rendering it the same that FF does, but some of it just looks a little too small for my eyes and actually gets distorted... 8O

Are the themes CSS based?

Which text in particular? Would you mind emailing me a screenshot?

To answer ~darryladie's question - themes are as CSS based as the designer wants to make them. Both the default subSilver theme, and my Sherbet theme use CSS, but there's nothing (aside from web standards and common sense) to say you need to use CSS.

Oh OK my reason for asking was I'd quite fancy having a bash at creating a theme, CSS is the only thing I am any good at.

Is there a Style Sheet that I can work from or shall I just download the one you've got up at the moment and work from there?

The standard procedure seems to be to download the subSilver theme and go from there. That theme is the default theme included with the phpBB download.

Update 2

Post by pickle »

Here's the latest list of updates. These quash all the bugs that I know about, so if your particular problem persist, please let me know either by posting here, or by PM. Thanks.

When viewing a forum:
There is now a separator between topics

When reading a private message:
The ICQ icon is now on the same line as the other icons

When viewing a topic:
- If you're a mod, you'll see the moderator buttons on the bottom
- Everyone will notice the bottom left corner re-organized a touch

When using the mod control panel:
The rows are higher, and the mouseover effect is applied

Memberlist
Now has mouseover effect

Code blocks
Now fit inside the template and scroll horizontally if necessary

Viewing a forum
The "Mark all read" link is now right aligned.

I'd also like to thank ~Burrito and ~Feyd for all their help when I've been creating this theme. Without their help, I'd have a lot less hair right now.

Watch this topic for replies

I have recently found myself accidently clicking watching this topic for replies considering it is so close to the forum index link. Is there any chance of giving those links some more space or moving the watch this topic for replies? :)
