I hate sleeping. So much more I could be doing.
Of these super-powers, which would you choose?

I would love to not have to sleep.

How come soo many people hate sleeping? I find very few things more enjoyable that waking up and being able to just lie there in bed.
Compared to how awesome one's life could be with one of the other superpowers, being able to live my current life 24 hours a day as opposed to 16 hours is pretty boring.

Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
Well im on medications that make me sleep more than I should... so I average like 10 hours of sleep a day. I would love to get a lot more work done and not feel tired.

I agree with you. I don't hate sleep. It just seems to get in the way of so many other possible things that I could be doing. And I can't choose to sleep. I have to, regardless of my input. But I would be the first to admit that few things are as nice as waking up to a warm and comfy wife in my nice new comfy bed.pickle wrote:How come soo many people hate sleeping? No bodily need to sleep has the most votes...you guys gotta be kidding me.
god: How would you like to fly with the birds or swim with the dolphins with grace?
devnetwork-er: Nah, I wanna be able to do more work every day.
I chose flying because all the cool underwater stuff happens at depths that would crush me into nothing.

That is a great quote, but it also it a commentary on the value of time above all else.
I also notice that no one has mentioned X-Ray vision and that the poll omitted the other "powers" that in stories usually take a long term toll on the owner, such as telepathy, immorality, mind control, etc.

Man, I want the "Can perform crazy math while not sleeping" super-power! What I wouldn't have given for that in college...Maugrim_The_Reaper wrote:If you could save 5 hours a day from Sleep, and you live to be 75, then you experience an additional 15 years. That was cool Maugrim. I had actually thought of this before but never thought once to post it.
