I assumed it was PHP related...otherwise my vote goes to Books simply because I'm an avid reader outside the PHP area.
But in relation to PHP... Eventually you hit a plateau on the learning curve where Books become a "reference" not a "learning tool". Once you hit that spot its either off in search of more theoretical reading, or else you wind up on Sitepoint and Devnetwork watching discussions in anything using the term "Theory" on the assumption you'll learn new things from other posters. That, and blogs...
Yeah, it's not mere coincidence I wound up joining Devnetwork little over a year ago...

I voted for 'Forum posts' but that's only because I wasn't sure what you meant when you said 'Daily papers' and 'Magazines' do these include online resources too?
I read articles and blog posts on SitePoint, more articles on A List Apart and the posts on this forum and on Dynamized.

I voted for Forum Posts. I read books occassionally but I am that geeky that I'd usually pick up a text book over a novel

That reminds me, I haven't visited A List Apart in a whileOren wrote:I read articles and blog posts on SitePoint, more articles on A List Apart and the posts on this forum and on Dynamized.

i mostly read the news online. im a big fan of books but language blah blah. google news is my main source of reading materials but i also read slashdot and some other random online news sources. IM's is a close runner up but there just is not that much content in them to go over the top of the online news.

For online reading, it's mostly forum posts. I have no patience to trawl through endless whining when reading a lot of blogs (outside of developer ones) nor do I have the interest to read much online. The occasional read through several topics on Wikipedia happens though. I'd say I may "browse" about 0.5% of the time I'm online.
As for offline, if I find the time, I'm usually reading technical books as most other "literature" puts me to sleep. Seriously.

Monitoring my site's forums, reading the devnet forums, asking for help on here and other forums... would probably make 50% of my online time in the forums.
I would attribute 2% of my time to reading news sites; cnn.com, dailyrotten.com, and various others.
Another 48% I play like I know what I'm doing by actually coding.

Set Search Time - A google chrome extension. When you search only results from the past year (or set time period) are displayed. Helps tremendously when using new technologies to avoid outdated results.
