What do you read the most of?

Well, I read pretty much anything that fits my criteria of art (namely, it should have some ideas). This includes Lem, Asimov, Gibson, but also a lot of non sci-fi books and authors. On the good days, I read books much more than I read forums.Am I the only Sci-Fi geek present? You're all illiterate!
On the contrary, I count myself as a Sci-Fi geek. However, the amount of books I read has dropped dramatically in the last few years.Maugrim_The_Reaper wrote:Am I the only Sci-Fi geek present? You're all illiterate!
To be honest, I just don't like many of the new authors. Asimov was my favorite, but I've made my way through most of his sci-fi. (He has since passed away). I loved Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality (more fantasy than sci-fi, but still), yet I can't seem to enjoy his other series.
Worse, books just don't draw me in anymore. The last series of books that did was Anne Rice's Vampire novels, but by the end, the characters were too far removed from where they started.
I love books, and I'm definitely not illiterate. I simply don't find many books to be worthwhile these days. The classic "masters" of sci-fi have stepped aside, or passed away, and the new stuff doesn't compare.
Now if the third book of the Art (Clive Barker, The Great and Secret Show) would come out.. I'd be buried in a book again for months. Until then, my answer remains - mostly forum posts and online materials.
