Annual DevNet Awards

Post by Burrito »

It's that time of year again.

Let's start with the nominations of the awards to be given this year...

List out some award categories that you'd like to see offered as awards for our community. The mod team will pare down the list and and complete phase 1 of this process. After we have the categories, we will open up the voting from the community to pick the winners for each award category chosen.

Most of you already know the drill, so start naming some categories!

We never actually used all of those categories last year... those were what was suggested by the members beofre we picked out the ones we actually used. I'll search the archives for last years list :)

We need to keep the list small I'd say no more than 10 or 12 :) Also, possitive awards only ;)

I can't see any reason to change them from last year. Boring I know but the mod team did a good job of arriving at a good list.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

They do kind of capture most things interesting - not sure about the Code Snippet monthly award though. Maybe an annual one?

I would like to add 'best avatar'

it's more light-hearted and not code related at all, but I think would be a good addition to the current list.
