I would like to help one way or another.
Who fancies a community effort to write a book?

Every link i found is dead.Everah wrote:I believe there is an open wiki project being hosted by Maugrim the Reaper. The link should be somewhere in this thread. Basically the help that would be helpful would be adding content to the wiki at this point.

I agree, i signed up, cleaned up the main Articles, and a few hours or so later, it was basically all back again.Everah wrote:Yeah, Maugrim's PHP Patterns site has been hit really hard. I have spent hours cleaning spam out of there, and there are others that have as well.
Maybe we can look at migrating the wiki to one of my servers?
Which led me to not contribute to anything.

I don't have a problem setting the new book collaboration stuff on one my project sites. To get us started...
What software app do we want to run the collaboration on? I think the old site was using DocuWiki. Do we want a wiki? If so, which one?
Also, in the spirit of full disclosure (and I disclosed this in when the project began) I am still planning on putting together my own beginner PHP developer site. Just so everyone knows, the two projects (my beginner site and the book) are very similar in nature, so if this presents a problem for anyone please mention your concerns now.
I am also open to anyone else hosting this project's collaboration.
