I don't think it is dead. I do think it has gotten a little lost in the shuffle. I was in the wiki about a month and noticed that there were not many changes since the last time I was in there.
I haven't got time to do anything with this at the moment and don't see that changing in the next few months. I suggested a while back that somebody with more time takes over the reigns It's an open-source dea after all
I know why it's slow... I can't even find the wiki... I just searched the boards for a good 10-15 minutes and came up with nothing. I found that huge thread but am too lazy to look through it. Can I get a link?
Which reminds me it will be offline for a day or two this weekend as I move that domain to a another host....
My time got soaked up on other things for the moment too. If it's any comfort it's not exclusive to the book, the http://www.patternsforphp.com site has not been updated since the Autumn either.
Ah! finally a link. I would look over the other topic about the book, but browsing the phpdn is such a pain with dialup. Only about 2kbps (of course, silly xp & vista both persist that I have 28kbps). To hard to search that many pages. I might like to help, too!
Haha. "... that's banned in 29 states" sounds like a bad book. (not bad as in low quality, bad synonyms: cool, awsome, mean, etc.)
Wonky. I like that. British term, correct? Yup, the link doesn't open for me either.
i vote for PHP for everyone... because i am not a programmer but i learn only PHP in the net and i want them to publish a book not just for developers but for everyone
