yes... I think reading and procrastinating are bigger reasons to sit on the crapper than crapping. For me anyways. :D

I voted for #2, but almost always will delve into #5 at the same time.

When I hit a problem that I can't seem to solve, I try to rephrase it into a DevNetwork forum post. 80% of the time writing down the question solves it for me. Otherwise, I post and then go out for a walk.

I do that alot too. Mainly what happens is I think to myself "I'm spening more time typing this up than it would take me to figure this out myself" and then just manage to fix it.

#1 for me... during coding, electronica/hip-hop/punk rock music makes those blocks go whimpering away 8)
