Posting page changes

Post by feyd »

We've applied a couple changes to the posting page that have been in the pipe for a while that we finally got around to. A few of the supposedly supported syntax highlighted languages have been fixed, a full list in a combo box is now available in both themes. We've also moved the

Code: Select all

button next to the

Code: Select all

button to make its existence a bit more prominent to new posters. That's all the news for now, carry on.

I don't think so. Considering that'd be almost 900 pixels on my screen (Moderators have several more buttons) and the field won't even let text go that far, that would just be deceptive.

I'm not sure how it differs from the other one, but I imagine it's for simple snippets not full blown code.

The syntax highlighting, I belive, is more comprehensive in PHP as oppposed to PHP Brief.

On the heels of this change, we've tweaked how in-post (and signature) links work. Specifically, with a CSS enabled browser they will now show a pretty icon after each. Depending on your theme, it will look like Image (for Sherbet users) or Image (for subSilver users). The reason for this is to make seeing that something is a link easier.

Nice addition feyd. And thanks for making the images. Now if there were a big red circle around the PHP bbCode button...
