too hard to define
No it's not. You nominate the person who has inspired you to look at something new, or code in a different or better way, or you think has shown lots of other people a new way to do stuff. It's a great award. And I'm not just saying that because I've won it before..

Good point. I guess voting is optional so if I feel I can't make a decision I don't have to vote.

That is correct. When it comes times, you only vote for those that you feel are deserving of the award you nominate them for.

I'm somewhat with
Ole on this topic, the "dangerous" stuff shouldn't be "awarded" lest is becomes a wide(r) spread practice.
(Otherwise I can nominee one or two guys in the "Most annoying spelling" category
)

Alrighty guys, this Thursday at or after 18:00 GMT I will be locking this thread and taking this discussion to the moderator team. If you have any more suggestions, now's the time to get them in.

We handle our community awards toward the end of May beginning of June. That is how we have done them the last few years.
So yes, it was recently 2006, but the 2006 awards were over a year ago.

Yeah, but three of the two awards you won were made up, so they doesn't count.

NO! Only one was made up out of three total:
1. Most Peculiar
2. Most likely to take a thread off topic
3. Most John-Eatonlike person award
I'll let you guys guess which one I made up. I've come a long way since last year, eh?

That was 2006? Wow... that seems like a lifetime ago. In lines of source code written at least.
