I'd spend the time at home learning something new. Like I did last week. I was off from Tuesday to Friday so I learnt how to do a few new bits and bobs with the <canvas> tag. Damn that thing is awesome. I've no idea why it's not used more. It's incredible.

Most often forced vacation for myself when I was working (as a web developer) indicated that they either had nothing for me to do, I did it too quickly, or the more likely case of the business closing down.

When I was doing game programming we normally got a week off after gold passed.

My choice should be to wake up, but on the off chance it did happen, I'd sit at home at be lazy for 3 days. Maybe some Guitar Hero, maybe some Gears, who knows, but it definitely wouldn't be doing anything strenuous either physically or mentally! :D

Doing nothing is nice. Yes, I'll have that.

Spend two days working at home (on something, I don't like doing nothing). The third doing sitting outside (dependent on the appearance of the Sun which is rare in these parts) and doing some light reading.

Either that or get roped in as a mule for one of my girlfriend's shopping expeditions. ;)

For sure I would take my bike on a nice ride around the country. Living in such a small country you can ride for a few hours in any direction and find the next village. Yup thats what I would do.

How often have I been in a situation like this??? Three days is suspicious!

1. they dont have enough money to pay you so they are giving you some time off to ease the budget.

2. They can't stand you and need a break from you.

3. They are really waiting for friday to come around so they can fire you through a voicemail message, a text message, or over email.

4. The boss is planning something underhanded and doesn't want you around for those 3 days.

lulz no way, think about it. You go to the office, and around lunch your boss is like "Hey yeaaaaaaah... uhhh... 3 days of from work, just go ahead and take a break."

If it's paid, they like you.

If not, there's definitely something wrong.

I personally do not plan to have a boss (for ITT things) and since I like to work on my game..

I guess I'm #3 in "continue working". :P
