Dude, this particular forum's permissions were totally jacked up. Post counts for regular registered members were set to NOT increment. That has been fixed, do you should see your post count grow now.

Wow... Are my posts worth less than everyone elses? 1 nickvd post = .25 posts for everyone else?

Everah wrote: Yeah. Take a look at nickvd's first post, or califdon, and you will see that the Disable bbCode box is checked. The original post it is not checked. Not sure how they were affected, but it seems somehow that they are not even given the option of enabling bbcode.
@califdon or @nickvd, can you reply to this thread and see if the Disable BBCode box is available to you? Use the reply to say whether it is or not. I want to see, if it is not, if I go back into your post and uncheck those boxes, if you can then go back and use bbCode. Thanks.
Yep, everything looks like it should now, I think.
I can disable BBCode or Smilies,
although I
don't think I will
want to .

Now there's a good candidate for another Smiley! The code could be :x:
{Edit: wow! there's a good reason to disable Smilies, there's already one assigned to that code!}
[Re-edit: Aaaargh! now it disables BBCode when I check Disable Smilies!!]
[Re-re-edit: Hmmm, now it seems to be okay -- either there was a lag or I am starting to lose it. And it's not even noon yet!]

Ok Don, it's time to step away from the bbCode and smilies and go enjoy a nice warm tea. Don't fret, we'll keep the boards warm for you for when you return.
