2008 PHPDN Awards Voting

Post by RobertGonzalez »

Ok everyone, as is the custom around the PHPDN Forums it is that time of year where the community is asked to nominate other members of PHPDN for a PHPDN Community Aaward.

This year we did things a little different in that the moderator team has selected the award categories. With that we are now ready to start the 2008 PHP Developers Network Community Awards voting!

Here's how it works... reply to this topic with either:
A) the number of the category from the list below or
B) the name of the category
***** AND *****
the name of the PHPDN Forum member that you are voting for in that category.

One week from today we will tally up the votes for each category and announce the winners.

Thanks to everyone for all of your continued support and participation in our community. Lets get to voting, shall we?
========================================
2008 Voting categories:
  1. Most Helpful
  2. Best Code Snippet
  3. Most Unique Theorizer
  4. Fastest Advancing Newcomer
  5. Most Peculiar

I really haven't been here for a while so I'd better not vote.
I do come here almost every day, but I don't read much and seldom do I post something new so I really don't know who is the most {w/e category here}

P.S I just don't have as much time as I used to have that's why I'm not active here as in the past, but I still think it's a great place with great people. Cheers guys! :drunk:

Edit: well maybe I can still vote for something...

Best Signature - Everah (I always loved that linux pimp :P )
Edit 2: sorry I meant best Avatar of course.

Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

It appears that the popularity of this thread is somewhat scant at the moment. This saddens me greatly :( (<-- see?)

To that end I would still over to see some participation in this thread so I will leave it open until July 10. Please post your votes. It does count and it lets those that you vote for know that you appreciate them.

Thanks.

Hello PHPDN members!

@Geert: cheers for the vote of confidence!
; )

Since I am a complete PHP illiterate, most of you haven't seen me around here since I only post in the regex section of the forum where a solid knowledge of PHP is not necessary in order to help others. That's why my votes might look a bit strange: they are based upon the people I encountered in the regex section only.

Here goes:

5 - Most Peculiar: JAB Creations:
It don't mean to sound negative, but all (my) answers given to him simply bounce of him. He is grateful for the help he receives, and also very enthusiastic, but I get the impression he does not read the answer given to him. A bit strange.

9 - Most Inspirational - GeertDD:
He knows more regex than I do, which inspires me to learn more.

10 - Best Avatar - Jcart
That look on the bird's face says enough!

Reading a decent book on PHP is still on my todo-list, so, when that happens, you'll probably see me wondering outside the regex forum as well!

Regards,

Bart (aka prometheuzz)

I haven't been around enough. Geez I can't believe this, has it really been a year?! Wow.
Good luck to everyone.

Oh and especially to Everah, I know you've been putting a lot of work in trying to keep the DevNet server up and running.
