Looking for Volunteers for a new PHP Framework

Hi,
I am looking for experienced PHP developers and Frontend developers who might be interested in contributing their time and skills to yet one more opensource PHP Framework. This is a Framework started in South Africa, still a young project that can benefit from your skills.
Here is the URL to the website where you can read more about the project, download the Framework, view available tasks and decide whether it is worth your time:
http://www.itshomi.net/
The contribute menu item will lead you to the available tasks.
The Framework has quite a bit of code already created and it has a modest development and marketing budget. We have added a small amount to each of the currently available tasks, which although not much, we hope will serve as an additional incentive for developers to join the project (but hopefully not the only one :) ).
We will also be using free and paid ways of marketing the Framework, and if people start using it in real life projects time spent with the Framework wouldn't be wasted time.
Please feel free to post any comment or question here or using the e-mail address mentioned on the website.

Thanks for your time,
Fernando.

Does PHP need another framework? What's going to set this one apart from the rest?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. About your question, I am not sure. Can you say that the market is "saturated", can you say we reached the maximum that can be delivered? Even if there is one best, different people have different preferences.
What might set this one apart only time will tell. All I can promise is that we will try to create something that is easy to use, feature reach and works well.

I wouldn't say that the market is saturated but its definitely maturing to the point where it takes a significant effort and investment of man-hours to offer a truly competitive alternative.

especially in open source general application frameworks (Zend, Symphony, CakePHP, CodeIgnitor, etc). As well as in CMS frameworks (Joomla, Drupal, etc).

Looks more like a CMS than a general purpose framework. Also, it uses LGPL whereas I think most of the big PHP frameworks use BSD which is less restrictive.
