A little website for something rather big

Given the high rate of views here, but low rate of replies, this might be a long shot. But here goes.

I need some help. Some of you will come to think "yes: psychiatric help", but I'm going to try to see the funny side of that and stick to my plan. :D

I've partly stumbled on and partly pieced together some likely world-changing information. It's all perfectly legal and legitimate, but a bit like discovering time travel or perpetual motion. Depending on who got to control such things, the power balances in the world could shift markedly, and that could degenerate into violence rather than be a positive advance.

So on balance, and both for your sake and for mine, I've decided I should keep both my identity, and the nature of this information, as secret as possible for now. I'm no conspiracy theorist - I just think that's the sensible move at this stage. There will come a point in the near future when I'll release the information, although personally I intend to remain anonymous and distance myself from any glory, outrage, or whatever is generated when it goes public.

Before too many alarm bells start ringing in your mind, please remind yourself that people still vote in secret, and nobody knows who invented the wheel. In other words, not every act done secretively or anonymously should concern you. Indeed, not too long ago, people expected their heroes to be anonymous so they didn't get hounded for autographs or magazine exclusives every minute of their lives, and could continue being heroic. I'm not claiming anything on that scale - at least not yet - but as I say: I think it's the sensible move in this case. But who knows if that is sanity or delusions of grandeur talking - you'll have to decide.

The reason I'm here is to get some help with building a website to release this information. There is no team assembled for this task - you will be the entire team. I want you to help me ensure that ordinary people and non-profit organisations can access this information as readily as governments and corporations. I want to do my best to ensure nobody gets to monopolise or control this information to the detriment of anyone else. That intent is best served by releasing this information as widely as possible as quickly as possible once everything is in place to do that.

And that's what I need help with. To read more detail on that, please download the zip file I have uploaded to http://www.2shared.com/file/pJhlvIIK/li ... thing.html, and then open the "projectspec.html" file in it. If you are paranoid about there being some virus secreted somewhere among the files I have zipped, view them all in a text editor first - you'll see there is a little bit of javascript used to run a slideshow in the "index.html" file, but beyond that everything is pure passive HTML or JPEG images.

At this stage I cannot reveal which, if any, organisation I am associated with, but I can confirm compliance with this website's terms and conditions to the best of my/our knowledge. Further, I would like all web design contributions to this venture to be put in the public domain. Finally, I am asking that you contribute to this venture on a voluntary basis in the first instance, but fully expect the discussion forum on the proposed website to be used to discuss whether involvement in this project is reward in itself, or there should be some financial or other reward for those who participate. When the information I have is released, chances are it might change people's minds considerably as to what is appropriate in that regard.

Alex.

I wish every client would give specifications as detailed as those you published in your zip file.

You might be asking a lot to have the completed site online on such short notice, especially as voluntary work. (You wrote that the book is "due for release June 2013" and it's already June.)
