Short or Long Term Available, Altruistic sports project

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for reading my post. I'm hoping to get a couple of volunteers that are willing to take part in a potentially long-term endeavor although this project is made up primarily of small tasks.
My project is to create a database that stores all of our data for a sports league. On the surface this will expand to include coaches logins, staff logins, etc., each of which prompt a different series of events. Each user will access and query data based on an otherwise simple series of connected tables.
I have plenty of experience with mysql and extensive experience with database creation and management, although i've never created a mysql db before, and have even less experience with php! I'm eager to learn and am in the process but the truth that I might not finish my project before the upcoming school year if I go at it alone has sunk in, and I also am wanting some of the more fluent php experts to take a look at what I'm doing here and prevent me from hitting any other pitfalls.
Ultimately the things I'm wanting to do seem broad for a 2nd year php student, effortless for a 5yr php veteran. Similarly, some of this project is more specific to the business side, which I'd feel more inclined to pay for rather than using volunteers, etc.
Ultimately this could very well result in a full time job should anyone really stand out - I doubt my boss would ever agree to pay what a developer is worth but stranger things have happened.
If anyone would like to volunteer I'd love to share the scope of my project and take the first steps. I'll be able to create the database pretty seamlessly and I even have staff for support, provided some php experts can consult and give me their input as to any errors i'm making with design. After that, it's simply a few php websites that query and pull the data based on the user account, client input, etc.
