Game developer wanted

Post by TimmyP »

Hello, my name is Tim. For over a year I have been playing an online game called Solar Empire. I have gone from being a newbie, to a Veteran player. But I still want more. At the moment, Solar Empire (SE for short), has two main codebases, Generic, and Quantum-Star. For the last month or two, I have been planning to make my own codebase. I know a little PHP, but not enough to write a codebase. I am looking for someone who wants to help me make this game, and who knows quite abit of PHP.

If you are interested in helping me then contact me by:

I could have sworn I replied or PM'd about this, but I don't see either.

I have a good friend "Trukfixer" who is currently working on the SE codebase to create a very unique vision of the game. I am certain that he would be interested in working with you on it at least for overlapping areas of interest.

I'll PM you his contact information.

Additionally, I'm working on a PHP toolkit of sorts for the next few months - its an offshoot from the work I did on my own online space-themed game (The Kabal Invasion). I've suspended development on TKI to focus on the toolkit and other projects, but plan to return to it at a later date.

I would be very willing to lend advice, discuss coding issues, etc regarding your efforts for SE.

It's on a list of projects I would like to eventually 'port' to use my toolkit, so it makes sense to me. :)

Feel free to PM me to discuss it further.. at the moment I'm awaiting a new uplink to bring my server, forums, and development sites back online.. making communications asymmetrical at best.

If I don't hear from you - good luck!
