Long Term Paid Partnership - Developer Required

Post by Yegor »

Hello,

I am currently thinking of starting up a new website, and I am looking for a long term partner to help me out. I am a pretty experienced webmaster/web designer, I run a medium size website (http://www.planetboredom.net).

I am looking for someone with extensive php/mysql knowledge to actually code the engine of the site, and handle all the technical things, such as maintenance, and updates.

I will handle all other aspects such as hosting, design, and advertising.

I have nothing to offer to you right at this moment, but once the site starts generating revenue, it will be split 50/50.

If you think you will be interested, or have any questions, please drop me an email at admin(AT)planetboredom.net

Thanks

Moved to Project Help Wanted as the Job Hunt forum is not for posting requests for work that cannot be paid for.

This is a paid job, it just doesn't pay right away.

If you could send me a message on aim (onlygeeks) or shoot me an email (don at onlygeeks dot com) about the details of the website, that'd be great.

Still can't be posted on the Job Hunt board - that is for jobs that can be paid right away.

What guarantee is there that you're site will generate any revenue at all?

You're promising funds which do not exist and shrugging off all the risk onto the programmer. You get your site built; the programmer may or may not get paid.

Frankly, I don't find that very ethical.

Yes, I realize that there is no guarantee that the site will make money, and that’s the risk people (including me) are going to have to take. This is purely voluntary.

I've taken risks with other developing companies and I have come out on top quite successful. We'll see what comes of this one.

Also, Yegor, can you shoot that email that you sent me earlier to perfectphp@hotmail.com? My host is down at the moment.
