If you are having trouble with specifics, post what you are having trouble with.
No one here is going to walk you through the technical aspects.

One thing I should say is that although a game sounds all fun to make and such, you are looking at a lot of time spent working on it. And in your case, a lot more time because you do not yet have a grasp of PHP.

My recommendation, start small -- make the login and such. Spend a few months making a few apps to get the feel of the language, then move on to large scale projects.

I already have a login script, the databases are ready, I have already programmed 'Buying A House'. I just need someone to help code other parts, its not that I can't do it, it would just be quicker.

I'm still looking for people to help. If you want to, post here, e-mail me or add me to your MSN.

You have three options:

- Hope someone will volunteer to help code it directly. (Possible)
- Make an opensource project so that multiple people can contribute directly and at their own pace - bringing new ideas and code to the table!
- Post specific problems or questions, and we'll try to help here.

I also offered my help, and also don't use MSN. It seems he wants help, but only on his terms. :)

Unlike Method_man, its not a technical issue for me, its an ethical one. I avoid using Microsoft products whenever I have the choice to.

Ok, can we come to an agreement?

Can one of you get a chatcode for php of the net and then host it somewhere? Then we can talk using that?

So none of us have a problem?

Grin, since method_man and I both use AIM, feel free to use the webversion:

http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp

But to your point, yes, the current multitude of chat clients definitely makes things tough. If you really want to maximize interaction, open an opensource project for your game - I guarantee that there are developers, players, and admins that would love to run it, help develop it, and extend it beyond your wildest dreams.

Actually, I use GAIM. The client itself isn't the critical part at all. The fact that you use MSN's *network* encourages others to do the same - just look at this thread, asking people for help, but asking them to use the msn network to do so.

MSN owns the network, and every user going through that network increases the value and reasons for people to use that network (and in most cases, their client too!).

It's not just about the client. It's not even just about their network. It's about not using Microsoft products if I can avoid it. They are a convicted predatory monopolist, and they have caused massive destruction in the computer industry. I prefer not to encourage such behavior.

They are only suggesting that you make an effort to allow others to help you rather than getting others to run around setting up MSN accounts to help you.

The message is that they both use AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and so MSN webmessenger does not help. If you set an AIM account up then you can communicate with them on this :)

Doesn't matter then, I know this is kinda stuck-up of me, but, I'm not going to set up an AOL account, I completely despise AOL in every single way, I hate the way they try and make things simple and completely mess it up. Sorry, but I feel the same way you do about MSN to AOL. If only they tried to use more options instead of using crappy keywords to try and help people.
