Kids Internet Games

Post by Jade »

Hey there,

I'm looking for someone who might have some free time to help out on a few of my internet games. They're all kid related and generally focus on animals (dogs, horses, etc). I've been overwhelmed at school this semester and my 40k+ members are complaining about lack of updates. I can't pay anything, which is why I'm posting here. It'd require that you sign a contract so you'd have to be 18 or up. For people aspiring to a programming career this would look great on a resume.

Thanks

If you're not willing to pay, you should have posted this in the Volunteer Work forum.

how do you have 40k members and can't afford to pay anything? :? that and we'd have to sign a contract for no pay? :? as a side note certian states require the age of 19 in the U.S. to sign a legal contract...AL at least that I know, just FYI :-D

All my profits go right back into my business or towards school, besides the fact that I work two jobs to keep up with the server costs of that many players. If you're not interested in working for free, no problem, I'll keep looking for someone else. As far as the contract goes, it just makes sure you can't suddenly say "hey, thats all my work I want it back" or bring up a lawsuit, etc, etc. Any good business person would do the same.

What level of involvement are you expecting from these volunteers? Perhaps some more information of what is involved in these games could shed some light aswell.. myself am extremely busy aswell with exams and whatnot, but I would certainly enjoy helping a good cause if the demand on these volunteers is not too great.

also, where is the website link?

The things I need really aren't that huge, they're additions or modifications to most of the code I already have. Really all I'd need is someone who would be able to work on a project by project basic. The biggest website I need help with is http://www.whiteoakstables.net , a horse game.

People are asking for things like:
1) Request breedings (a script I already have on another game that just needs to be implemented on this one)
2) Ability to sterilize mares (again a script i already have that needs a few changes)
3) Modifications to the game shopping cart (major change)
4) Modifications to the game showing system (major change)
5) Fixes of some minor glitches

As you can see, most of these things aren't top of the line complicated and won't take a long time. If you're still interested let me know.
