Hello all I would really like to learn php but have never had the time but now I have time and I'm really interested, I'm making a virtual airline which for those of you that do not know is recreating an airline using microsoft flight sim, as you can imagine there are endless reasons why I would want to know php, thanks.

A virtual airline? Using Microsoft software with PHP?? <!-- gets backhand ready to slap silly--> NEIN. You should look around the Web for tutorials. I really don't understand why you would use PHP to interface with a flight simulator. Maybe I just don't get it. A little more deatail would be nice. What if I wanted to fly from here to Italy. Would I have to enjoy 8 hours of being a virtual passenger at my desk? Guh!

I've actually written one of these for this kid I used to know, virtual airline basicaly == "flight sim clan", all it did was keep track of their flights (they inputted them on a form on the website and the whole thing was basically the honor system). I suggest buying a book that will teach you PHP and mysql, I wrote this with no problems during the first months I was learning web stuff in general and I ran into very few problems.
