Project Webhosting Service

Post by a94060 »

Hi,i wanted to start up a web hosting service, but the problem is that i have no idea in design. Would somebody be able to design me a sleek, design and also give me the button source?(so i can learn how you do these things). Can the person possibly also make it into CSS so i can just attach it to my new pages? i can take care of the PHP aspect of the page.
Please PM me if you are interested or just reply here.
Thanks

Not to sound rude but you are asking someone to work for you (for free) so you can make money?
I'm sorry, but that isn't usually how it works :?

Perhaps you should look into some free templates floating around the net, or perhaps http://templatemonster.com for cheap ones

Edit | please read the PM I sent you reguarding your signature.

Waiiiiiiit at minute! Let me get this straight; You don't know how to create decent websites, and have no experience with hosting, but you'd like to jump right in and start reselling? How in the world do you expect to offer support?

Do you know what ftp, sftp, ssh, mysql, cpanel, htaccess/htpasswd, etc all are? How do you want people to pay you (I assume you don't have a checking account nor paypal since you're 14)?

These are all questions you should consider before getting into the web hosting business. Especially since it's flooded already..

first of all,i would also use ipanel. This would help me to manage the server. i would also have a support team to manage and take care of it. and yes,i have ehard of all those terms before. and for the payment, i would get it done with my dad's account.

I dont think people would like a 14 year old kid hosting their site, no offence.

What kind of hosting packages would you offer, and your prices?

i just would not tell them that im 14....i knew someone who was 18 and had a webserver. I would offer to host a domain, make a subdomain,or get a hosting package fore like 2-4$ a month. i think that would seem fair. im not starting right now anyways.

That really doesnt make sense, you are hosting peoples domains that they already own?

Would you support PHP, MySQL, anything else?

Anybody could have a webserver.

Are you going to tell people interested in your hosting when they ask you that?

o ok...sry for that :( i understad what you mean. the problem is,i might not even start it for sometime because my parents are a little bit againt it and i dont even have a job. If i had a job,at least i could capitalize for my self. by hosting it a i mean like say you own a domain,www.xyz.com
i will rovide you space for it so you can host you data for free. all you will be paying for is your domain name.

For me, yeah.
For you, not at all.

Your giving out web space for free, what kind of business is that, your not making any money.
