At the moment a couple of us are in the middle of coding and designing a group of websites for a network focusing on social and business networking (the original idea was to provide info on high yield investments, but we want to go beyond that). We're basically looking for a programmer or 2 willing to help out now and again on the project on a casual basis.
I realise that a lot of people will want to be paid per design / project (Not suprising, i've seen the work you guys do!) and I have contracted out programmers in the past, however this time round we're looking for people who want to work with us just because they find it enjoyable, a challenge, and want to show off their skills! The 2 of us that do it at the moment are both under 21 so we both know youthful flair can be just as good as experience!
Let me just say a few things about OIO. It's a community website which started off as a forum providing information about investment oppurtunities like ( <span style='color:red;text-decoration:blink' title='Alert a moderator!'>grilled spam</span>, autosurfs, <span style='color:red;text-decoration:blink' title='Alert a moderator!'>grilled spam</span>).
Some of the projects we have done so far include a financial tracker, traffic exchange system, investment calculator, multi-user blogging site, project planning solution and template designing for the opensource software Pligg. You can view some of them here, although some of the unreleased stuff is on another sub-domain.
We have a few new projects we want to create this summer, ranging from a social networking website, an IM system that uses php for a backend (this will be interesting), a Client for the IM, more financial management scripts for users and improving the ones we have.
(You'll have a test folder to do anything you want, and a dev folder to test the projects before releasing them)
At the moment, all the things we offer are done so free of charge, if however we ever started to charge (for example a subscription fee) on anything you'd helped out with, we will happily give an initial cut to you as a thank you for your efforts.
Anyway, if anyone is interested, please do get in contact (simon[at]oioplus.com).
