Moderators or PHP support needed for help site

Post by pr9_superstar »

Hi,

I have a new site called http://www.pr9.co.uk.

It is been constructed to help people with PHP much like this site.

I only have one moderator and PHP guy on the team and I was wondering if anyone else would be up for the job. It not only helps the other people with there knowledge but it enhances your own.

It is only a small site at the moment so only require 1 or 2 mods, php support, mod managers etc? but is growing slowly by the day!

So if your interested please visit the site and sign up and PM Mr Mars, who is the site admin guy who will set things up for you.

Thanks

Not to be rude, but does anybody else think it odd to come onto a PHP forum and ask for help on a PHP forum...I mean what's the point? There is a perfectly good, growing community of PHP users right here (not counting the 100 others out there), is there really a need for another forum?

Hey its not being rude my friend!

I understand your point,

but if you want your own forum and site, what do you do it on?

Its not like theres room to do anything new anymore, so i thought well ill do a site on something i enjoy and try and help other people

I totally understand your point though.

Different forums will find different users. Different users will provide different views and different answers for questions. I don't see anything wrong with diversity amongst the forums. For there could be another feyd on this up and coming board.

Overall I think the site looks really nice and promising. It has a good setup. I'm interested in it (not really modding, but just participating). However, it stretches even a 1024x768 resolution which is what I use so that I have to scroll to the right to see the entire page. Is that just a temporary thing? Aside from that, the site is very aesthetically pleasing.
Set Search Time - A google chrome extension. When you search only results from the past year (or set time period) are displayed. Helps tremendously when using new technologies to avoid outdated results.

Looks like it's pr9 logo that makes it stretch... with images blocked the site looks much better :)

which is very long at the moment! :(

but thanks for the feedback, the aim was make the board as attractive as possible, i always feel this helps when coming to a site.
