AVLabs Design Recruiting Dedicated PHP Programmer
Posted: Sun Jun 18, 2006 7:37 am
Greetings,
I'm the webmaster of AVLabs Design. I have myself spread very thin right now, across several projects. Some are related to AVLabs, some are not. The site is very early in development right now, but when it's completed we will be offering tutorials, resource downloads, the whole works. One of the the things PHP related that I need help with, is the administration backend I have planned. There are other things that will need regular maintenance as well.
Without diving into to much detailed (until requested), I am wanting to recruit a dedicated and long time member to the AVLabs team. Besides offering the above mentioned items, there is also going to be a store that offers stock photography and web templates. I also run into freelance jobs every now and then, and sometimes PHP programming is required- which I usually have to outsource to meet deadlines. If I had a PHP programmer on the team, this could be kept internal.
I'm not promising paid work, but it can come through on occasion. Though, the frequency of work can't be pinned down. Basically consider this a "for-fun" thing, with the off chance of getting some work passed your way. The part of the AVNetwork that is handeling all the work is lying dormant right now, and won't get any attention until AVLabs Design (the community, resources, fun stuff...) is up on it's feet, and is better known around the net. Hard work yes, but I'm this is my dream.
I just need people to help me! I'm also looking for other team members for other positions. I won't go into detail about that, but if you know people or are interested in joining the team yourself, speak up. I'm a really friendly guy (despite my username
) and am very laid back. We (the current AVLabs team- 3 people) have a lot of projects planned, one of them being a game engine/game. Which, coincedently may end up using PHP.
Anyways, I appreciate any feedback on this, and will gladly answer any questions. I hope I have not offended anyone with anything I said. For some reason, the same content I wrote above has made people angry in other places, such as Usenet groups. Not my intention.
