Volunteer wanted for quick review of charity database

Post by anonuke »

Hello

I'm looking for a volunteer to review my charity's mySQL/php database and advise whether it can be modified to meet an extended specification.

I work for Pilotlight http://www.pilotlight.org.uk, a charity that supports the work of other charities in southeast England by providing them with strategic skills from the private sector.

Two years ago Pilotlight commissioned a database to manage its contacts and cases. The developer, who worked in mySQL/php, was unable to complete the project, which has languished ever since. Having recently joined the charity, I'm eager to get a database up and running.

Our present requirements are more extensive than they were two years ago. My problem is that, being entirely ignorant of mySQL and php, I can't tell whether it's easier to extend and finalise the existing work, or to begin again from scratch. So I'm looking for someone to review the database and give us some advice. It should be a short job.

All offers of help gratefully received!

Many thanks

Dan

I can help you to rebuild your site using ztml. Once it is finished, you can perform many functions without additional development. And if you willing to learn some basic ztml language, you can add some functions on your own. Contact me if you're interested.

Hello all

I've not received many replies to my original post. I presume this is because either:

- my support request is bigger than I realised; or

- I gave insufficient information to let you decide whether to get involved. If this is the case, please will someone let me know what I need to add.

Cheers

Are you able to break this job apart into small peices? For example maybe there is 1 page that needs a few things fixed. You could post the code for just that page and we can fix it real quick. Then move onto another chunk.

From the link he provided, it seems like the site was built using HTML only. I offered to help out by converting it to PHP but my help is ignored. I thought all offers of help would be gratefully received :?
