Patterns For PHP: Contributors Required
Posted: Thu Sep 14, 2006 11:02 am
Since I've returned, thought I'd throw it back out there for volunteers.
Patterns For PHP is a website dedicated to promoting Design Patterns in PHP. The website is in the form of a wiki (MediaWiki 1.7.1 currently) which is publicly editable. The site is strictly ad-free and primarily being done as something as a contribution back to the PHP community.
Currently there are two Administrators, myself and Ambush Commander. Since it started we have published six Pattern tutorials, with one currently pending (Decorator). It is envisaged to also publish shorter Pattern definitions in addition to the longer tutorials.
We are currently seeking contributors to:
- write Pattern tutorials
- write short-form Pattern definitions
- produce UML diagrams for both articles and short-form definitions
- offer suggestions on the site's future
We recently opened up some forums to facilitate public feedback, and offer a place for contributors to discuss articles, and offer feedback on those already existing.
If anyone is interested in contributing, or just offering some words of wisdom, they can visit us over on http://www.patternsforphp.com . There are a lot of Patterns to be covered obviously so any help is appreciated.
