Edit: A quick Google search on special K reveals all :P Second place next to cereal :P Ok so I was clueless in that regard...I've never been genuinely interested in drugs, only done them through accident or fallen victim tp peer pressure, etc...never done that though...smoked green...hash and munched mushrooms once...

I personally like to have 110% SI (Situational Awareness) :P Drugs, lack of sleep, booze, etc all rob that of you...although I'm not perfect and I do occasionally now, get blasted on weekends on a 26 of Jack

I do get out a ton...I'm very social...but I have absolutey no idea what you guys are talking about...

Something bad that starts with a K...Actually you said illegal so that changes things a bit...

Krime???

Why can't you just say what it is?

Edit: Todd_Z I searched Google and found it BTW, thanks anyways :)

Todd_Z, you are right to be angry if someone deleted your message on a public/open forum. However, I'm not sure if drugs (which I had no idea everyone was getting at) are considered legitimate content...so maybe thats why they removed it? In which case...I plead the fifth. :P

As much I believe in pushing boundries I also personally try to respect the local "law" as much as I can...it's hypocracy and double standards that make me irrate...

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander...so if someone else does it and gets away with it, so will I...although I can't say I've seen many disscussions on here about drugs...which is good cause they don't interest me... :P

If you feel your post was wrongfully deleted...do yourself and democracy a favour and pipe up...they certainly can't ban you or delete your posts for speaking your mind on issues like that...as that would be censorship!!! If they add vague disscussion or free speech are not permitted clauses to the rules...'general discussion' might as well get dumped as thats about the only hokey pokey that goes in there. :P

If messages get deleted, they are for a reason. To read up on it, I'd strongly suggest the forum rules (first link in my sig), before you get back on topic.

Who created these rules, and what input if any did the forum members have in creating them? Were polls taken?

Do you feel offended by the rules? If so why?

1. feyd accused me of hijacking a thread because I had a similar issue as the original poster. The question in the original thread was solved and my post merely expanded on it. But I was chastized for it.
2. I have had numerous harmless posts deleted for various reasons. Once I posted a link that was very funny about a girl who was scared of pickles. This of course was deleted because it was on i-am-bored.com, which IMHO is not an adult oriented site. In fact it even tells which links aren't safe for work.
3. I have seen quite a few examples of moderators chastizing forum members for very minor things and I feel like you guys are starting to get a bit nitpicky.
4. The whole "no hacking" rule.. Seriously, the best way for me to increase security in my applications is to see what "hackers" would look for.

These are off the top of my head.

This thread is way off topic.

Astions: most of the compaints you posted are not regarding the rules themselves, but about feeling unfairly treated by the implementation of them.

The best way of going about this is via PM or, if you believe a rule in the forum rules is unfair or inaccurate post here. If you believe your grievances really, really, really affect the foundation on which this forum is based then voice them in a new thread in General Discussion and try to make as coherent a case as possible.
Why PM first? Because this is a PHP-forum which people visit to learn about PHP - meta-discussion are only interesting to those involved.
