I applaud the enthusiasm, but I'm not quite clear who "webmasters" are? Developers? People who maintain websites? Content-providers?
I have the impression that maybe, you're talking to the wrong audience here - if people on this forum need tools, they tend to build them (see swiftmailer, html purifier, the rebuild OSCommerce initiative etc. etc.)
Probably a very good way of keeping up your good intentions and enthusiasm is to seek an audience that's less in need of developing tools and more so of marketing - i.e. "the long tail".

DMOZ is open source. You can download an RDF dump here: http://rdf.dmoz.org/ Also, considering they've recruited nearly 75,000 editors, I don't really see how you can claim people are fed up with it.dezine wrote:Like for example the Open Directory Project.
