Half-finished CMS

Post by vaximily »

I am ripping apart a CMS someone started writing for me and never finished. Trying to figure it all out with very limited knowledge of php.

Is there anyone who would be willing to go through some code and help me work on this? It's a great start, and I'd love to finish it, but I definitely need some help.

I know the user / registration system and news system are already mostly finished.

Why not use an existing, completed CMS?

Two reasons:

1. None of them do quite what I want to do and I don't know enough to mod them to fit.

2. I need the experience and this is a great way to get it.

take it one script at a time and re-write the whole thing, by the time your done you'll have it sussed and know every inch of it. (and indeed will have improved both the application and your coding skills)

if you get stuck, ask in here :?
