want to expand your PHP portfolio?

Post by randall@eas »

Hi,

My name is Randall Prince. I am part of a small startup company called EasyAutoSales.com. You can check out information about us there or at our blog: http://www.comefortheride.com. Though our site has our own unique niche, it's basically like Cars.com or AutoTrader.com, but with our own unique marketing twist.

We are in need of a developer or development team that can take care of everything from login creation, validation and administration to database queries for automobile searches and using existing tools to do things like upload images for people wanting to sell their cars online. We're using the basic xAMP (Windows and OS X servers) model. I've not done PHP development for a while, but another business member prefers we use PEAR for our database access tools.

Our budget is $0-$5000 (depending upon experience) we may need helpers for our head developer
Our database schema is already completed.
Our site design has already been finished and templates have been coded.

Our #1 concern is getting the site completed as soon as humanly possible. We're currently interviewing candidates via Guru.com and oDesk. We are charging them with a small development task of creating user registration, confirmation and authentication. When the entire task is awarded, we'll have mini-projects with milestones. Should those milestones be met early, there should be bonus money as well.

If you are interested in bidding for this project, please email me @ randall@easyautosales.com with your name, location, experience and some examples of your best works (no more than 3, so make them your best). I'll contact you back with a non-disclosure agreement (assuming you seem appropriate for our project) that needs to be signed and then a project coding overview. We'll then do a short interview to get to know each other and then accept a quote from you. In a week's time, we'll select a developer.

Optimally, this site needs to be up and running (we don't even mind if there are a few bugs here and there, we just need something up quickly) in 3-4 weeks. We're looking for some really suave developers who are in the top percentile of developers who can get the job done quickly. I've got a B.S. in Computer Engineering degree from Purdue University, so I feel the right geek will stick out when we find him/her. Thanks everyone and I look forward to hearing from you.
