I am willing to give several hours a week for development/maintenance of PHP/MySql (including various open-source, Joomla) web-based applications that will benefit a established non-profit organization(s).

By "non-profit" I mean 501(c) type corporations (or local equivalent) engaged in community charity work.

Hi itp and prakashadmane

I help run a summer and winter camp in the country for children 12-16 years old. Children typically come for 1-3 weeks. Most participants are recommended and subsidized by community organizations.

Currently we have a web site where parents/guardians can download and print out a registration form.

We would like to make a web program where users can enter participants information right on a web page. This would reduce the number of errors made in copying information, reduce lost forms and hopefully get more participants to sign up. Ideally we would like to be able to ask the computer for an Excel list of participants for each section by season.

Can you do something like this for us? I am not sure how difficult this would be. How can I contact you?

That sounds like an interesting project.

You can contact me at mmichael(at)bestmail(dot)us.

Other ideas welcome because there appears to be other volunteers available!

Hello, I started a thread requesting help with a not for profit project here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=81742

The organisation is registered in Australia as a non-incorporated 'other' category organisation, with the Australian Business Number 28 799 365 305. I wasn't able to attain not-for-profit status in Australia, but this had to do with the size of my organisation (i.e. just me), not with ineligibility based on the business model. In regards to the business model; it's completely not for profit, I don't run ads and pay for the hosting myself, the website exists only to help people understand environmental issues. Please check out the the thread I linked above and get back to me if you're interested, the URL is bottleweb.org

I run a website at http://bottleweb.org, it's a project I started on my own last year while I was still studying, and at the time itI want it to become an online journalism and discussion website, fostering creative thinking and producing articles about renewable fuels and the environment.
Nice effort so far, but what exactly do you want from us? You appear to already have a discussion application. Fostering creative thinking is a bit vague and I don't know how to code that in PHP. Why don't you describe one or two additional features that you want to add/improve. Maybe you'll get better response.

Hello,

I was wondering if there is any one still looking to voluteer?

If so a couple of people including myelf started a non-profit (501c3) under IRS (USA).

We do not have a website at this time, we are looking to develop a few different systems, the fist system we are looking to build is a event system.

The event system would allow a number of things:
flexability to when the event was to happen (daily, monthly, yearly, never ends, allow for different times for the same event so the person entering could select different days and times

Have the ability to send reminders (emails) out at the days and times choicen

have a press release connection to the event if there is a press release then they are able to be read under the event by clicking on read presss release.

and a few other things I can not think of reight now.

the project is for a org called DisabilityInfoSeek, Corp

please PM or respone back if able to help with this.

Sincerely,
Christopher
