Howdy! I'm a member of a fairly new community of music enthusiasts who are looking at creating a new music and audio database discography site, somewhere between the general ease of use of Discogs.com and the well-detailed MusicBrainz.org. We have a lot of ideas and 330+ registered users of our forum, and we are looking for help getting started.

Our goal is to create a new open source, open discussion, non-profit site that focuses on creating a cross-referencing discography of publicly available audio, fine-grain enough to distinguish between different pressings of the same album, but able to simplify the view on an artist's profile to display all albums or singles as one item.

I can go on with more descriptions of our goals, ideas, and the things we've learned from other systems, and you are welcome to join our forum and take part in the discussions. Our forums are at DiscographyDB.com

Thanks!
